Some cool Seed Money images:
Seed Money

Seed Money – Money that is used to start a small business
Pretty hard for me to find an interesting idiom that can be conveyed in a photograph. Seed money stuck in my head so I went with it. And I like apples, so I had a snack too.

Seed statue

This "statue" is on the St. Paul campus. It’s a metal and glass "seed" with a live plant inside. It’s the "ag" campus, so they put this up to commemorate all the "ag" stuff going on here. It’s pretty much a waste of money…

thank you all! carol, are you saying that lunaria is a pest in your garden? i’ve wondered about that; it grows very well here.
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/65924740@N00] Gardeners here scream when they see the lovely lunaria panicles pushing their way through their flower borders. But then again I’ve been told foxglove is a noxious weed on the US West Coast. And my darling sister introduced the beautiful Queen Anne’s lace-like cow parsley to my garden and I have been beating it back for years — a horticultural version of whack-a-mole. Ah, one person’s lovely exotic is another’s pest. Doesn’t change the fact that lunaria pods are beautiful.
i happily grow lunaria and foxglove and queen anne’s lace every year, saving seeds from year to year to make sure that i have some. they all seem to belong here; at least they sure do know how to grow here without much involvement from me, which is all to the good. ‘judy and’
[http://www.flickr.com/photos/65924740@N00] I’ll take the real Queen Anne’s lace any day. I love it. But cow parsley (and lunaria) is an unruly beast in this landscape! Sadly foxglove is not too happy here. I envy the garden where the wild and civilized can all get along without much interference. It offers a hopeful metaphor.
great composition!
Thanks!
Great Holga! Very nice photograph. I really like the graphic lines.
